Hey guys!

A reminder that this Saturday Operation Appreciation is having its outreach and are in great need of counselors.

It is an easy and non-intimidating way to share your faith and pray with young guys who are asking you to do so. What an opportunity!

It is from 6 to 9 at Highview Valley Station at 5415 Valley Station Rd Louisville, KY 40272

I don’t go to these events often enough, usually because there is so little time left in the week and usually Saturday is date night for Nikki and I. However I had to ask myself: “When was the last time I shared the gospel with someone?” After all, that is one of the main reasons I moved over 1,000 miles, was to come to SBTS to learn how to better help people grow in Christ.

In the past when Nikki and I have gone to this together we have grown so much closer as a result. They turned out to be some of the best date nights we have ever had.

Anyway. With that in mind I want to encourage you to consider going. My intention is to provide a gentle nudge, not to add one more thing onto the list for you to do.

Hey Guys,
As most of you know, this will be Trey and Keisha Spangler’s last Sunday with us as they are moving to Louisiana to pursue God’s calling for them. We are going to have a potluck fellowship to send them off this Sunday after church in Rm 202 (above the library). Garon has figured out a way that we can go on the website and post what we will bring for the potluck (yea Garon!) and see what others are bringing. You have to go to this link to sign up for food, it won’t work directly from the class webpage.

Reminder for the ladies!

The shower for Laura Kazee and Rachel Yates is this Saturday at our (Smiths) house at 6:00 pm. Our address is 3102 Nova View and you should be able to mapquest it, but I've listed directions below. Hope to see you there!

Also...if you don't mind shooting an email back to let us know if you are coming, that would be great. We are having a lasagna meal, and I just want to make sure we have enough food! Thanks!

Go West, all the way to the Cane Run Exit (almost where the Watterson ends)
Take a left off the exit ramp.
Go through a light at Ralph Avenue (Better Way Marathon on your right)
Pass Cane Run Elementary, take the first right, which is Kingswood Way.
Follow it to where the road Y's and vere to the left (you can go either way, we just go left) turn on Nova View (first right) and we are the second house on the right.

According to Keith, the biggest need if for counselors, but there are some ways to help and he can assign us when we get there.

Ladies! Sunday is the last day to register for the upcoming fashion show at church. This is a wonderful outreach opportunity and a great time to fellowship with other ladies in the church. The cost is $5.00 and you can sign up in either lobby.

Shelly McDonald, the coordinator, also wanted to make sure that all the ladies helping remembered to register for the event as well.

Hey guys,
Mark your calendars! We are planning a class BBQ with the Senior Adults class for July 26th at 12:00 pm after church in the Fellowship Hall. We will be sending around a food sign-up this week. Plan to come and bring the family! Also, if you have a grill, please let us know as we need a few in order to cook out for all these people. Feel free to bring frisbees, games, football etc! This is a great way to get to know many of these awesome, active senior friends in the church! I hope everyone can come! Please let me know if you'd like to help out in planning this event.
